- Just a quickie to say that I have been using the V34 24bit Datatype for
- two weeks now and I am happy to report that on a 2Mb Spectrum card with
- CyberGfx (reg) everything including the gif decodes is *much* faster. This
- datatype also works best if it doesn't have to dither down to lower bit
- planes.
-
- Seeing Multiview on a 24bit WB dislplaying 24bit JFIF/JPEG 24bit IFF!!!
- and 24bit PNG images is a lovely sight indeed.
-
- The only problem I have encountered so far is that IBrowse will on
- occasion ommit the background gif or not show any images at all if the
- screen it is on is 15bit or greater, but I put this as a problem more with
- MUI/IBrowse than with the datatypes.
-
- If the dataype was released ahead of time and under pressure then all I
- can say is that it has turned out for the best and I congraulate the
- authors/programmers and "Keep my Cyber Pumpin' ! " - Thanks guys - The
- Amiga is finally coming up to scratch and I can't wait for the completed
- versions of the datatype if the alphas/betas are stable like this.
-
- Credit to the CyberGfx programmers too ;) !
